Portrait of Władysław Kurpiewski, the master of fencing who teaches next generations of Polish Olympic competitors with a touching pedagogical passion. It’s a film about human gestures and self-mastery: the elegance of fencing is doubled by the sculptural beauty of Bogdan Dziworski’s use of black and white. The sound is composed by a fragmented structure, just like the rhythm of a fencing match.
