Exile is an abandonment, a terrifying solitude. In exile, one experiences loss, suffering, erasure. But one can also recover loved ones. In the language of words, images, in dreaming which is not only childlike. Everything begins with exile and nothing has any value except through it. Exile is a meditation on absence; on internal, geographic, and political solitude.
