Linosa, the smallest of the Pelagie Islands in Sicily. Through the daily life of a family, Mario Carbone—an important documentarian and photographer—recounts the work, poverty and solitude of this portion of forgotten humanity. Unburdened by the habitual voice over, the camera freely caresses the dry landscape and faces chiselled by the sun like stones. A faraway and savage world still untouched by modernity.
