The director travels to the Bardenas Reales Natural Park in Navarra and poses a very simple question to its people: who was Sanchicorrota? A 15th-century outlaw who robbed the rich and shared the loot with the poor? A seducer? The noble thief who preferred suicide to imprisonment? With a devilish sense of humor, Jorge Tur Moltó addresses the complex issue of collective memory. An unexpected finding will move the film towards the recent history of the Bardenas, a past that is painful like an open wound.
