Peter Nestler
1994 - Suède - Noir & Blanc - 7'
Nestler accompanies the eponymous poem by Hans Sachs (1540) with his own sketches to recount a Utopian fable on the struggle of the oppressed, addressing adults as well as children. The central question of Nestler’s cinema is raised here in a way which is simultaneously simple, evocative, tender and ferocious : how can relationships of domination be overthrown ?
