September 2002: Philippe Lacôte was in Ivory Coast when war broke out. He has been filming his district during the two first weeks of the curfew. These images throw us into everyday life of a working-class district of Abidjan, without trying to explain the conflict. They also brought back personal images to the director: some of his mother's, and of his father's who arrived in Côte d’Ivoire in 1956 during colonization… A film between memoir, essay and diary.
