Campo Santo, champ sacré speaks of the mourning for the motherland. The film backtracks the earlier train trip made by the director’s own parents: Liege–Estanatoglia, and thus shows the effects on the village’s population where many, unable to find work there, have left for greener pastures and where, today, there are new employment opportunities that the Italian workforce cannot meet.
