The old town of Puzzuoli near Naples is abandoned, destroyed by earthquakes and negligence, cut off from the rest of the city by a large metal gate. A gang of kids tear apart and steal what can be sold to the metal dealers. “We made Calcinacci in 1990. Everything was changing. The houses, streets, viewpoints were changing from day to day. What you see in this film no longer exists.”
