A mythical magazine on The seventh Art, Les Cahiers du Cinéma owe their fame to the New Wave: Rivette, Rohmer, Godard, Truffaut et Chabrol all acted as film critics who wrote regularly for this magazine before becoming film directors themselves. The film tells the story of the years that followed (1963-1973): an extremely important era for this publication which departs from its traditional school of thought and opens up to  wider more modern styles of films during the years that were deeply marked by the events of 1968 — discovery of new forms of cinema, links between politics and the cinema, the influence held by the intellectuals of the time (Lacan, Barthes, Althusser…). During these ten exciting years, the magazine was run by Jean-Louis Comolli and Jean Narboni. In the presence of Jean-Louis Comolli.
