Outside, an indifferent megalopolis. Inside, a chaos of pain and despair where each day throws up society's down and out. Here, on the sidelines, in a small annex of a public hospital, a doctor and her team apply emergency care to men and women with broken bodies and who find here a short respite, a little attention and recognition.
