What can a portrait photograph reveal about a political system? What can a picture taken thirty-five years ago tell us about our contemporary society? Based on photographs taken on the arrest of political prisoners during the Portuguese dictatorship (1926–1974), the film aims to convoy some mechanisms by which a dictatorial regime seeks to self-perpetuate itself.
