The ambition of this document is to ask several questions, in particular about the role and the stakes of the French people who have their origins in the Maghreb, with a view to a greater closeness of the populations.
Thanks to previously unpublished portraits and testimonies by people known and unknown, it explores certain themes and highlights the specificity of this population both on the historical level and because of cultural and religious considerations.
