One young journeymen roofer is about to start his "tour de France", another one is about to complete it ; both boys are driven by a same ideal. By filming skillful and agiles hands, concentrated faces, loved tools, it is another conception of manual work which arises – a conception of « fine work » (« beau travail ») which dates back to the Middle Ages – and reveals its emancipating power…
