In December 1995, the whole France is paralysed by the railway workers' strike who carried in their wake several other public services. On all the SNCF sites strike pickets were manned by determined strikers.
It is to try to understand the multiple aspects of this human experience that we spent the last eight days and nights of the strike in the suburb of Lille.
