A hundred years ago, inspired by Émile Gallé and the Art Group of the Nancy School, Eugène Vallin, a carpenter-cabinet maker, creates his personal style : "organic" furniture, inspired by nature, with supple and powerful lines, like the Masson dining-room furniture on exhibit at the museum of the Nancy School.
This film aims at following the lines of this furniture and also those of the furniture made by three other artists ; Louis Majorelle and Émile Gallé of the Nancy School and Victor Horta for the Belgian New Art movement.
A celebration of these creative artists, actors of an artistic renewal whose effects are still visible today.
