In the French short-film festivals there are practically no films from the provinces ; the general rule is that all the films are put forward by Paris producers. Are the provincials films not good ? Or are there no films made in the provinces because the directors prefer going up to Paris ? More than the question : can one film in the provinces ? The basic question is : can one live (and create) far from the centre, out of the capital ?
