There is luck for Clonas-sur-Varèze. It is there, at the bottom of a hole, in the form of a Gallo-Roman mosaic dating from the 3rd century A.D. Although this village is not suffering from its inhabitants leaving, it is losing its rural identity. The chance discovery of this mosaic is crystallizing energies so that this heritage becomes the common past of all the inhabitants and a new homogeneity can arise. This film looks both at the archeological excavations and the omnipresent population.
