Seke is a boatman on the Maroni River, in French Guyana. He carries goods with his pirogue. His load often exceeds 10 tons, which makes the passing of the rapids and sandbanks delicate.
The film, as a roadmovie, follows Seke from his departure point, Saint-Laurent du Maroni. He will join Antecume-Pata that is 300 kilometers as 3 days by pirogue from Saint-Laurent.
The Maroni society is uncovering itself little by little, along the deliveries. This often traditional micro-society has to face the illegal gold mining.
