Bernadette Lafont, et Dieu créa la femme libre
Esther Hoffenberg
2016 - 65 min - Couleur - France

A journey with Bernadette Lafont, the most atypical French actress. From the sexually liberated pin-up brought by the new wave to the drug dealer grandmother in the movie "Paulette", we can also recall her role in "A Very Curious Girl" or "Les Stances à Sophie". Emblematic roles of happy feminism from the 70's, the documentary tackles her stunning life and artistic path. Her granddaughters Anna, Juliette and Solène live through their grandmother's dreams in the ancestral house where they all lived. Her close friends, Bulle Ogier and Jean-Pierre Kalfon explain their human and artistic complicity. Through the movie, Bernadette Lafont herself, through her inimitable voice, recounts her cinema life.
