Aux origines de la révolution Série-Collection : Moi, Fidel Castro : conversations avec Ignacio Ramonet

Axel Ramonet
2004 - 52 min - DVC Pro - Couleur - France

The Cuban revolution that triumphs in 1959 is rooted and follows older struggles. In this film, Fidel Castro presents his version of the events that lead Cuba to get rid of the Spanish colonial power, thanks to slaves’ rebellions and to the dynamic role played by a few land owners with humanists’ ideals, who already didn’t trust in north-American expectations.
Exposing Cuba’s 19th century’s situation, Fidel Castro relates the political violence and the international struggles about the island that never ceased since then.
