In Switzerland on 4 October 1994, 53 bodies were pulled from the smoking ruins of two chalets belonging to the Order of the Sun Temple.
18 months later, on 22 December 1995, the mystery deepened : the bodies of 16 other sect members were discovered in the Vercors. Among them were two policemen.
French police opened a homicide investigation.
The judicial truth will escape us for a long time to come. But there is a human truth demanded by those who spent years in the entourage of the massacre victims, sharing their illusions.
