Cuba l'Africaine
Daniel Pinos, Mireille Mercier-Balaz
1994 - 62 min - Betacam SP - Couleur - France
For the ruins of the Cuban dream "Cubanism" is rising up again. Nowadays the black and half-caste population makes up 60% of the population of the island. Its cultural and religious traditions, in spite of the racial prejudices of the white, convervative world and of different successive governments have never disappeared.
The construction of the film shows in alternation an evocation of the past and the present reality of a people working to preserve its traditions and its way of life.
