In Spain's history a generation of people were born. A generation of people forced to immigrate for political reasons in 1939. These men and women crossed the boarder and settled in France. This was the most massive immigration France had ever known : more than 500 000 people.
Some believed it was only a moment of their lives, they would soon be returning. But they would remain in France for 40 years. Their children were born in France. They were brought up among anti-franco militants in exile, Spain had been the focus of their youth.
