Animalamina Jack Vanarsky
Marie Binet
2007 - 27 min - Betacam SP & Digital vidéo - Couleur et Noir & Blanc - France

Jack Vanarsky, Argentinean by birth, but French by adoption, is an unusual artist. A freethinker who has invented a strange world of objects that slowly moves to the rhythm of breath. Composed of slats, his graphic works and sculptures take on surprising shapes in a subtle interplay with movement, creator of "succession of segmented simulacra" he has exhibited his work in many contemporary centres, collections and galleries in Europe and America. This film explores Vanarsky's universe, where humour is masterfully juxtaposed with a philosophy of existence and a paraphysical consideration of art that gives the spectator a breath of fresh air and nicely matches the imaginative fancy of the artist.
