Aloko, aloko

In the West African country of Burkina Faso, traditional hunting practices have re-surfaced, and a crew of reporters has, for the first time, been allowed to film an ethnic hunting ceremony in the Smouraouan region.
These hunters, who for a long time were considered poachers, now play an important role in the fight against poaching. In 1985, the country opened its borders to international hunting for very short, tightly controlled seasons, in hopes of developing its tourist industry.
This was the occasion for Burkina hunters to regain respect, bringing old traditions to life.
"Aloko, aloko", may the hunting be good.
