In France, the Second World War is studied in high school by 4th grade students. This includes Shoah. In January 2013, a History teacher and his pupils took a study trip to Auschwitz extermination camps.
But 70 years later, does this still have a meaning? Within a few years, the last witnesses of this massacre will not live any more. In spite of the work of institutions, museums, teachers, in spite of the duty of remembrance, Shoah already belongs to the history books.
Therefore what means “Going to Auschwitz " to a child living in the 21th century?
