Ahmed is the grandfather of my daughter Leila. He was born in Zelboune, in Algeria, the 12th December 1937. He lives in France since 1955 and had been to his native village for the last time in 1960. He tells me his childhood memories and some snatches of his life in France where he get married and had four children whose one was Jerome, the father of our daughter. Jerome as well as his brothers and sisters never talk about their roots.
"Ahmed Pépé" is a family movie, which gets onto the keynotes of immigration and transmission.
