This documentary is the story of an encounter. The encounter in the USA of a camping-car and a bicycle. In the camping-car there are a man and a woman with their child. The woman, of German origin, was born in the 1950s of an American father whom she has never met.
In 1999, thanks to Internet, she found this biological father with whom she has been communicating from a distance for two years (telephone and mail).
In the summer of 2001 the father agreed to meet up with his daughter and her little family in front of the library of a big American college. That is where we find him beside his bicycle. A character : eccentric, marginal, artistic, intellectual.
