"Achoura" shows the complexity of the character of the young Iranians who like to listen to music from other parts of the world while keeping a taste for their own traditions.
The film tries to explain to us, through interviews mixed with ceremonies such as sine zanin, zangir, tazieh, why these young Iranians remain faithful to their religious traditions, in particular Achoura which commemorates the martyrdom of the third Shiite imam, Imam Hossein.
