This film lets us discover the extraordinary story of how "King Kong", the most popular fantasy film of all time, came into being, and takes us inside the world of its two creators. Pioneering adventurers in the 1920s, Schoedsack and Cooper explored distant lands, camera in hand. These truly inspired, groundbreaking special effects men from the birth of the movies created King Kong in 1933. Using a great deal of archive footage, most of which has never been seen before, and travelling in their footsteps to Thailand, we will revisit the adventures of Cooper and Schoedsack and understand how King Kong drew heavily on the highly unusual lives of its creators.
