From script to screen

Thursday, 24 at 9:00 pm, Salle Cinéma

As an addition to the workshop “Writing and producing a creative documentary”, the CNC proposes this year a case study of the film Savagery by Jonathan Le Fourn and Rémi de Gaalon, produced by Thomas Jaeger (Haïku Films). The film received support from the Aid Fund for Audiovisual Innovation for the phases of writing and development in 2013, and of reinforced development in 2015.
After screening the film, the workshop will reflect, on the one hand, on the role and evolution of writing in the process of filmmaking, and on the other, on the complexity of the film’s production.

Rémi de Gaalon is a photographer. Savagery is his first documentary. Jonathan Le Fourn co-directed Exile and the Kingdom. This is his second film.
Haïku Films is a short-film production company founded in 2009 in Paris. Savagery is its first feature-length film.
