The RED (Network of Exchange and Experimentation for the Showing of Documentary Cinema) was formed seven years ago and groups not only major international festivals, cinemas and associations of film-houses but also distribution associations whose forms of action and histories are extremely diverse. All are engaged in showing documentary cinema and are concerned about defending a creative approach to documentary. All share the desire of communicating and promoting the culture and wealth of documentary cinema with the public and all those who contribute to its existence.
